I enjoyed my stay at the Conrad. Top notch hospitality, and my needs were met, after a few changes…
I initially booked the Deluxe King (DK) rooms, which in the photos on trip.com seemed nice, and in person looked decent (but definitely older decor, perhaps it was also too dark for my liking). However, I was finally told (after complaining twice) that these floors and rooms haven’t been renovated or refurbished yet. Once I came out of the lift on those particular floors (16 & 19 - I had to move twice!), the hallways & carpets were damp and musty, and there was a putrid stale stench in the air. It was quite unbearable for me. The DK rooms also face a slight plumbing issue with the sinks (at least it did in my room, the water was yellow and it didn’t drain! 🤢🫣🫥
✨✨That being said, having traveled for 24 hours and extremely tired, and seeing my displeasure with both the rooms I was assigned, the night staff and manager at the reception immediately moved and upgraded me to the Premier King Room (Thank you Tin!)
These rooms on the 25th floor are much nicer, and I was told that they’ve been recently renovated.
A beautiful room (See photos), and I would highly recommend everyone book it! In fact I even extended my stay, because the bed, linens, bath, shower, Byredo (Mojave) Bathroom Amenities, and overall setup of the room (including chrome cast on the TV!) were comfy & excellent. Room service & In-room dining were brilliant too ( see photos!). 👏🏼👏🏼✨✨
I will certainly be coming back next time, but I’ll be booking the rooms wisely!
Perhaps a heads up in the room titles or description copy on trip.com could have avoided this issue altogether. Just a suggestion.
Either way, thank you again to the staff for accommodating my needs 👏🏼 They managed to meet my expectations of the standards at The Conrad. Well done 😊
