Montien Hotel Surawong Bangkok

Silom/Sathon Bangkok|1.77km from Gallery Cafe
I had the pleasure of staying at The Montien for 3 weeks 2 months ago when on a company-booked trip. My room and bed were extremely comfortable and spacious, with plenty of natural light and unobstructed views, quality amenities including a Nespresso machine. The Montien decor is modern, Thai style and beautiful. The breakfast buffet is bountiful, with plenty of variety. Pierre Pelletier, the Area General Manager and his team went above and beyond to ensure my stay was outstanding! Then this month when my family and I planned a vacation to Bangkok I picked this hotel as our base. The hotel is conveniently located for easy access to the sky and underground trains, many must-go-to restaurants, cafes, Siam Paragon, temples, Chinatown, night walks and more. We were welcomed with incredible 5-star Thai hospitality. Special mention to Khun Nu, her front desk team and night manager Khun Jew for handling flight delays, airport transfers and arranging pick up of lost luggage, Khun Tik for his world-class warm welcomes, Max’s regular assistance and taxi coordination, the ever-helpful and polite bellmen, Beer remembering our morning coffee preferences, Kae at Ruenton restaurant for looking after us at dinners, friendly Tanya at the lobby bar, the housekeeping team for keeping our 3 rooms impeccable and everyone who made our Bangkok vacation so memorable! It felt like our home away from home and we enjoyed our time here so much!

First of all, thank you for the complimentary airport pick up at BKK, good coordination and English communication from your staff, Wimonrat sukrasebya further helped me in getting a comfortable and speedy ride to the hotel. 👍👍👍 Being a solo and leisure traveler, I was not able to take a swim and sunbath after breakfast as the swimming pool is located on the west side of the hotel. This means the sun won't hit the swimming pool until 2pm. This has really ruined my trip and I was very disappointed but I know there is nothing the management can do about it.😅😅😅 Then the next issue is the bathroom. First, the water faucet is located too close to the edge of the sink, so water splashes around the entire sink top and everything is wet. Please see the attached photos. Secondly, the shower cubicle does not have a door and result in water splash again. But luckily this can solved by putting a floor towel outside the area to avoid slipping. 😩😩😩 Moreover, it is the English level of the staff. It is not up to par in such an international renounced hotel management property. I got my toe hurt in the swimming pool and then asked for an adhesive bandage, but noone understood what I said on the phone until they saw the attached photo. Later on, the staff told me that they run out of bandages. Eventually, they managed to get me a couple of them to stop the bleeding. 😅😅😅 Finally, I would say the service and friendliness of the staff was good and responsive. It would be much better if they can get more training in the language skill especially in English. In conclusion, I have to say that I won't be staying with that hotel again in my future visits to BKK, simply because the swimming pool is really bothering me as I won't be able to get sunbath and a swim in the morning after breakfast.

I have never stayed in this part of Bangkok before and booked this hotel as some friends were already booked in here, however the reviews seemed positive and it is described as in a quiet area, which is exactly what I wanted! I was not disappointed. The room was spacious, clean and modern with an extremely large and comfortable bed. The bathroom was of an adequate size and was again, clean and very well maintained. I also found that all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast staff who were wonderful. I had breakfast each day and found that it was excellent value for money, with a wide range of tasty and good quality food options. There is a swimming pool in this hotel and whilst small and shallow, is clean and well maintained and is a perfect little oasis from which to escape the heat! Around the hotel, there are many massage salons including one affiliated with the hotel itself as well as a plethora of excellent food outlets, which serve authentic local foods. It is also neat to the MRT and also Robinsons mall. It is also close to Chinatown, which at night is simply amazing if you like good food! This hotel is perfect for couples and is far away from any noise or rowdiness, whilst having excellent transport links via road, rail or river to all parts of Bangkok. In conclusion, I highly endorse this hotel and recommend that anyone who reads this considers a stay here. I will be returning!

I am most afraid of reading reviews in Thailand when I choose a hotel to receive a non-refundable deposit and discriminate against Chinese people. I read a lot of other hotel reviews that have deposits and then rely on the guests to damage the things or smoke and force a non-refundable deposit. Although this hotel has few reviews, it is attracted by pictures. There are only two rooms in the entire hotel, the others are beds. This is the second hotel to stay in Thailand. The attitude of the service staff is very good, and the hotel feels very good. Many children rehearsed on the stage on the first floor. The atmosphere is very good. The hotel location is not far from the subway and bus, ten minutes walk. There is a lot of food at the door. The hotel breakfast is also good, the pork porridge is the favorite. We added an extra bed when we checked in, but it was useless. The bed slipped when moving on the extra bed and it was not safe. When the child got down from the big bed, he reached his waist. The extra bed was also very hard. We didn't ask for an extra bed because the bed itself was big enough. However, 700 plants were collected before check-in, because the language was not clear and it was considered a deposit. When we left, the waiter said we were not surprised. I asked them to communicate with Ctrip and found that it was an extra bed charge, but the children should not be charged if they were less than five years old. Ctrip finally returned it to us and will book a room at Ctrip in the future. Very good! The hotel has no parking, in a yard. Oh, and the room is generally clean. I do n’t know if I change the towels. The bottom mat of the bath is not changed. The bath water will be cold and hot for a while. It is not suitable for children. Stayed for two nights, the second night the air conditioner leaked, kept ringing, and light sleep was not suitable. We cleaned the room and put 20 plants, but they were not taken away.

Great room. Amazing breakfast. Experience for me was spoiled by the ridiculous dress code that you only hear about when you get to your room. A bit difficult if you book last minute and haven't packed long trousers or shoes!! You buy this place for the views but to do anything on the upper floors, you need the clothes, even for kids!!. The ”dome” that is central to their marketing hype, was closed for renovations. No word of this either until you try to access it when you are there. That, and the over-zealous staff who will first try to enforce the dress code policy .....but then try to sell you the overpriced drinks when they actually realise that they don't have any customers!! And parking is very very strange and difficult

The journey from surasak bts is about 10 minutes and the location is convenient. Opposite the accommodation is a well-known spa shop. It is a busy street on the road and close to pure white family mart. Stay in a six-person room, the space quality is acceptable, and the environment is clean. Favorite public space on the first floor. There is no elevator but the front desk staff will assist with luggage, kind
