After a very stressful few days in Athens we were glad to come across this little hotel to get our heads down for the night. Sadly we had been victims of pickpockets who stole our phones, bank cards and a passport. The Greek police were not helpful at all. We found very few people who made us feel welcome so it was wonderful to be greeted with a smile at the Zappion. The staff were very helpful and our breakfast was lovely. More over we had not booked and had just walked in off the street but we were accommodated regardless. We had stayed at hotel Stanley prior to this which was much more expensive and despite being a fancy hotel it was in a rough area with busy traffic and the notorious pickpockets. Zappion is clean, close to the sites and in a nice quiet street with everything you might need on your trip. Highly recommended if you want hospitality, peace and quiet and a nice breakfast.

On a quiet side street just steps from everything -- Athens Green is in the middle of Pangrati, Mets and right by the ”big” sites by cutting through the National Botanical Museum (a nice park walk in the middle of Athens). The location couldn't be more perfect. If you want to get a feel of the ”real” Athens, this is just steps off of the tourist track but in the real Athens. The rooms are big and well-appointed, with a quiet courtyard -- a real oasis from the bustle of Athens. The desk clerks could not have been more friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

THE HOTEL IS LOCATED IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION IN KARAISKAKI SQUARE, CLOSE TO TRANSPORTATION (METRO, BUS, TAXI). VERY NEAR THE AREA OF PSYRI, MONASTIRAKI, CENTER. REGARDING SERVICE: negatively 1. ORIGINALLY, WE WERE GIVEN A ROOM WITH A SIDE VIEW OF THE ACROPOLIS. AFTER I NOTICED THEM AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD FIX IT BY THE AFTERNOON, THIS WAS ONLY AFTER MY REPEATED CALLS TO THE RECEPTION. THE NEW ROOM WAS WITH AN EXCELLENT VIEW OF THE ACROPOLIS OF ATHENS - JUST AS I PAID FOR. 2. THE FIRST ROOM WE GOT HAD A ”BLOWN” BATHROOM DOOR WHICH WOULD NOT CLOSE. 3. THE CLEANLINESS OF THE FLOOR WAS UNACCEPTABLE, WITH A LOT OF FLUFF, WHICH WASN'T PICKED UP ANY OF THE FOLLOWING DAYS. POSITIVE 1. THE DIRECT SERVICE OF THE RECEPTION TO THE ROOM QUESTION THAT ARISED IN THE AFTERNOON. 2. THE FRIENDLY SERVICE OF ALL THE STAFF AT BREAKFAST 3. LARGE VARIETY OF BREAKFAST FIXTURES 4. Amazing apartment with everything you need. Just 30-40 minutes walk to all the sights that Athens has to offer. The host was great, communication was top notch and very helpful. The apartment had 2 spacious bedrooms both with on suite. A full fitted kitchen with everything you need for your stay. The living are was comfy and had a little dining area. We had our own little balcony which look put over the the street below, we also had access to the roof terrace which had fantastic view and was a great place to chill. There is a little supermarket about 5mins away and a bakery which sold the most amazing cakes, pies and breads. Also round the corner is a little area filled with Bars & Restaurants so no need to go into the main tourist area every night. Would highly recommend staying at the Athens Squared Lofts/Apartments for your visit to Athens.

Excellent location. Access to the main attractions. To the metro 10 minutes walk. Apartments in excellent condition, new repairs, equipped with all necessary household equipment.
