The hotel was picked by a conference organizer. Location wise it is not very convenient, being beside main road, opposite side of the beach and bit further from the centre - although on walkable distance. My room was nice, clean, with comfortable bed, bathroom as well, with all necessary toiletries. Good Wi-Fi. Nice variety of hot and cold dishes for breakfast, local and international cuisine. Small swimming pool and nice cocktails in the swimming pool bar bat also at the hotel bar. All in all, very nice, but just that. Breakfast and bar staff were very good. Front desk staff were less smiley than their boss would like to hear.

We choose this hotel because the location and we were not wrong. Located just besides the port and a few minutes away from the beach and the “Passeig Esplanada d’Espanya” were you can find lost of local restaurants. The room was ok with a balcony and wonderful view of the port.

There’s a clean and smart reception area, but the reception staff weren’t very welcoming, we arrived tired and late after a delayed flight and a smile and nice greeting would have made us feel more welcome. The rooms are very spacious with a big bed which we found very comfortable. However the room lacks any facilities whatsoever and way below what we expect for a 4 star hotel. We were shocked on waking the first morning to find there are no tea and coffee facilities?! Also no iron or ironing board. Plus only one arm chair was provided even though there is ample space, so we both couldn’t sit down and relax in the room. The noise from other rooms and the street on the Friday night was horrendous, even on the 5th floor. We didn’t sleep at all. We suspect this is because weekends are much busier, the breakfast room on the Saturday morning was absolutely packed. The breakfast itself was very good for 9 euros we think it’s worth it, they offer a good selection of gluten free items (I have an allergy). But as I mention above, Saturday morning breakfast wasn’t enjoyable due to how busy it was. In fact the waitress ushered us off the table as soon as we finished our last bite (I still had some tea left to drink!) as she said there was a queue to get in. In summary, a mixed stay but too many negatives and we wouldn’t stay again.

So central walked everywhere, airport taxi only 20 euro. Rooms were so nice and cold after being out in the heat all day! Twin beds even tho asked for double so not great for a romantic getaway, Breakfast was really disappointing no sausages weird eggs no Irish/English breakfasts, ended up having toast everyday. Besides breakfast and beds it was the perfect place to stay when your going to be out and about, definitely coming back

Yes, a total of five rooms were set, one of which was free for an extra bed for the little ones. There is an additional charge for parking, and there is a very small swimming pool on the roof. The foreigner is watching the sun very seriously.

My friend and I are just back from 3 days staying at the Hotel Spa Porta Maris by Melia. The good points: - great location; 5-10 minutes walk to the beach, old town and promenade where there are lots of cafes/restaurants and market stalls. About 20 mins walk to the higher-end shops and El Corte Inglés department store - comfy beds, large shower, decent wardrobe/drawer space, balcony big enough for 2 - entire hotel is spotlessly clean - nice buffet breakfast in restaurant with amazing views The not so good points: - check-in was a little slow - we arrived around 1pm to be told our room wasn't ready and may not be until around 4pm. We were able to store our cases safely until then but had to get changed and freshen up in the restaurant toilets - our stay was paid in full well in advance of our arrival but they still took my credit card details. This was possibly to cover any in-room charges but this wasn't made clear - the bar seemed to close relatively early for a city centre hotel (not sure what time exactly but I think it was before midnight) All in all, I would recommend this hotel and have no hesitation in using again.

The hotel is about 13 euros from the lively neighborhood of the seaside. If you are departing from the hotel, you need to ask the front desk to help you call the car. The cost of attaching the car is about 5 euros. Breakfast 12 euros / person, not much things, still exquisite. Underground parking is available for a fee, and on-street parking is free. The hotel has a good internal environment with 2 swimming pools. Two-bedroom house, one with a bathroom, and two chairs for relaxation on the outdoor balcony.

Spent a week here in February 2022. It’s position is perfect for the bars and restaurants, and everything going on. Check in was 10/10. All the staff were polite efficient and welcoming. Our room was spotless and was cleaned to perfection every day. The bed was comfy and decor was very tasteful. Good size shower and bathroom. Lovely roof terrace with amazing views. The buffet breakfast was good. Nice choice and I liked the fact that the coffee machine produced hot coffee. Covid restrictions were observed The only issue was that because it’s in the middle of everything we were woken up a few times during the weekend nights very early mornings due to it being a lively area. There’s no pool or bar but it’s so near the beach and restaurants that you won’t miss it. I would recommend this hotel. I would recommend this hotel for a clean, comfortable stay

What an amazing find! This self-contained apartment was a perfect home base while we traveled the coast of spain. The apartment was very well appointed. It was furnished with dishes, towels, fridge, cooktop, microwave and toiletries and cleaning supplies. It is a secure building and you have to walk about a block over to check in. Super easy. Elevator was ”large” by spain standards. Bed was comfortable and although in the middle of everything, once the doors were closed you didn't hear a thing! Being here in winter months the AC was off but we slept with the bedroom window open to a nice breeze. Our friends, who live in Alicante, were very impressed and plan to rent for their visiting family.
