Hotels in Downtown/Elephant Trunk Hill/Two Rivers And Four Lakes, Guilin

Check in was easy and location was extremely close to the main shopping district. We had a very friendly guy by the name of xiao shou help us and provide us great recommendations.

1. Location: It is very close to the Two Rivers and Four Lakes cruise ship and Xiangshan. It can be reached on foot. There are shopping malls and restaurants around, making it convenient for eating and shopping. We went to Yangshuo by boat. After contacting the travel agency in advance, it was very convenient to take a bus in front of the hotel. 2. Parking: There are very few parking spaces in front of the hotel, but there is a three-dimensional parking lot not far away. Don't worry about not having a parking space. We went to Yangshuo, and our car can still be parked in the parking lot here, which is good.

I would like to extend a special thank you to staff members at the front desk, Mia and Dong Dong, during my recent stay. Their dedication to ensuring my comfort and satisfaction was truly exceptional. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly demeanor made my experience at the hotel even more memorable. I went to Guilin for the Guilin Marathon and stayed at the Guihu Hotel. It is relatively close to the starting point of the marathon on foot. The starting point of the marathon is also the center of the main scenic spot, and the transportation is relatively convenient for travel. There are many special places to eat in the surrounding area, including restaurants and snacks. There is Tianyuan Rice Noodles about 500 meters away. Similar to being on a peninsula, the environment is relatively quiet. The service is also friendly, clean and tidy, no smell, and you can check out until 2 o'clock. Overall it's a good experience.

We arrived late 9-10pm and check-in was quick. Room was big and very clean. Staff at breakfast were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good, Chinese style. I love dumplings. Down side, waited about 30+min trying to book a tour for the next morning, communication was difficult. The tour company expected our passport number to be visible on the green code, but only a few digits were visible. They asked us to remove the * from the passport numbers. Eventually after all the waiting, we were exhausted and highly frustrated so, we decided to find a different tour agent and then, miraculously she said the tour was booked when we were about to leave the hotel. Hotel is good. Maybe book tours elsewhere there are many in the pedestrian street. We didn't experience this problem with other tour companies the area.

A particularly surprising experience. It was raining lightly on the day of check-in, and the handsome staff member Xiao Xie came out to pick us up in advance despite the rain. He helped carry my luggage along the way. When I checked in, he saw that I was traveling with an elderly person and he thoughtfully helped me upgrade my room for free. The hotel is located in the scenic area and the scenery is great. Although it is slightly inconvenient to get in and out, the experience is very special. The historical stories explained by the lady at the front desk were also very interesting, and the staff were all great👍👍👍

✨ Walking into Venus Royal Hotel, you feel like you are in a romantic dream. ✨ 🏨 Venus Royal Hotel attracts countless travelers with its superior location. The hotel is located on the bank of the beautiful Shan Lake in the Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area, adjacent to the Zhengyang Road Pedestrian Street. On the left is the Guilin landmark ”Sun and Moon Twin Towers” and only a few steps away from the Guilin city emblem ”Elephant Trunk Mountain”. The hotel has spacious and comfortable guest rooms, each of which is equipped with a full set of modern facilities. The upper floors can completely overlook the entire scenic spot. 🛁 The hotel where you can see the Elephant Trunk Mountain with your eyes open allows me to completely relax after a day of sightseeing ~ This is really the only hotel in Guilin that can view the Elephant Trunk Mountain, Lijiang River, and Sun and Moon Twin Towers at the same time Dining room! 🚗Transportation: The transportation is very convenient. In the city center, it is basically not far away by taxi. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Guilin Station Yiyi Hotel; about 25 minutes to Guilin North Station Hotel; and about 45 minutes to Guilin Liangjiang International Airport-Hotel. 🥂The viewing restaurant has an excellent view of Elephant Trunk Mountain and the Sun and Moon Twin Towers. It has a 270-degree ultra-wide outdoor terrace with a view of the sunrise and sunset. It is located on the 6th floor of the hotel.

Absolutely loved this hotel! I thought the pictures looked a bit too good to be true for the price, but the rooms look exactly like the pictures. My friend and I booked a twin city view room to share, but upon arrival we loved it so much we changed to 2 separate queen bed, river view rooms. The service was amazing, staff spoke English and were very helpful with us changing our booking. Breakfast was delicious, the spa is amazing and I even bought some of their spa oils to take home (spa oils and eye masks are provided complimentary in the rooms). Drinks in the mini bar are also free and refilled every day. Close to everything you want to see. Hotel even arranged a car for us to go to the rice terraces. Waimai is also delivered straight to your room. Perfect, will definitely stay here again.

Room: 1017 (king bed & bunk bed); duration of stay: 4 nights. Family of 4 (including 6 & 11y.o. boys) Absolutely wonderful surprise to walk into this room and see how spacious it was along with many fun features which included kids’ bunk bed and slide down one side, playhouse tent, play area with small kids table and chairs and small rocking horse. A large kids play area (open 10am – 10pm) on the same floor (level 10) along with a very basic gym i.e. 1 treadmill, a couple of indoor bikes. Most guests on level 10 kept our doors open and kids could freely roam between their hotel room and play area. There is no safe in the room although the hotel was safe and secure (cameras on each floor). Our valuables were locked in our suitcase when not in the room. A nice touch of earplugs by our bedside (although we didn’t need them) and heated/electric toilet. Both kids and adults enjoyed the room and hotel. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Limited English and we communicated via translate app and my 11y.o. son who speaks intermediate Chinese. Use of sunscreen and other items available for free from reception counter. The hotel is very clean. Free laundry (front loading machines and a hanging rack heated dryer) including laundry powder (located on level 8). The pool was nice however given we visited late October, a bit on the cool side with the changing season. The breakfast spread was very good with a mixture of fruit, bread, dim sum, eggs (boiled, fried, scrambled), bacon, Chinese breakfast, tea, coffee, etc. 3 items, including noodles, on the breakfast menu to obtain freshly cooked. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner twice and both meals were fantastic (we recommend the T-bone steak!). Ordering is via scanning a QR code. Limited alcoholic spirits on the dinner menu. We booked a boat tour via the hotel tour desk using the translator app. The service was good and easy. We opted to get a taxi to the boat (rather than the group van which left an hour earlier and cost RMB10pp) however upon arriving to the boat ticket office outside the boats they tried to redirect us to a different location. We communicated with the hotel tour desk via WeChat which was quick and very helpful as they sent photos of the desk we needed to be at (which was a table next door to the ticket office). The process was smooth and easy. The use of the spa is 50% off for hotel guests and from memory it opens at 3pm. Suggest to book ahead as the spa does book out quickly. The location is good; a walk away from Guilin Pagoda Hill, Elephant hill (10 min walk), Starbucks on the opposite side of the road less than 10 minute walk away, 2 KFC’s, food, taxi stand to the left of the hotel, night market, shopping, etc. Great features of this hotel: • Fun hotel and fantastic for kids • Very clean and safe • Good location • Good breakfast spread, lunch/dinner options • Taxi stand less than 1 minute walk For awareness: • SYYF has 2 locations. Taxi’s kept dropping us back at the other location. Therefore take the address in Chinese and make sure the taxi drivers read the address (not just look at the logo)

The hotel area was very nice. Huge garden with swings and a big lawn, perfect for kids to play. There is a little zoo there too with a few exotic birds and rabbits. The king size bed was enormous and very soft. We enjoyed sleeping in it a lot. The breakfast and dinner buffet had a good selection of both Chinese and western food. Definitely a recommended choice to stay in Guilin. 服务：very helpful and polite staff 卫生：the room was very clean
