Three Brothers Guest House

Ubud
Friend suggested this place. 🤷‍♀️ Pande the owner gives me a price w/o bfast; over and over bringing up about how she gave me such a great price 🤔. After being there 3 days, I think to take a look online about the place and learn that the published price with bfast is 20% lower. 😳 - My “do not disturb” sign on the door was ignored every time. Privacy is not respected. 😳 **Was told I could use the kitchen for light cooking when I arrived and the woman got very upset with me for wanting to heat something up in the kitchen my 3rd day there. 🤷‍♀️Her son lunged at me like he wanted to hit me for upsetting his mother; all because I wanted to cook something- as was initially told I could do. Didn’t do it......too much aggravation 😳😳😳 Extra surprises- -They tried to get me to buy my own jug of water- meaning that they didn’t want to supply “theirs” -They were out on the patio in front of my room and woke me up numerous times - At the end, they blocked in my scooter so that I could not leave easily, the day after the kitchen incident. One can only assume that their rationale was that someone who wants to boil some fish must be a thief and will leave without paying 😆 -They were constantly trying to sell items and services. Money money money- seemed to be their mantra. Left earlier than planned- the focus on getting money from my wallet left me with a creepy feeling. There were some positives, Clean, nice view, I liked the ducks in the yard. Better to go elsewhere
Patal Kikian Villa

Sideman
One of the most wonderful locations we have ever stayed! Overlooking Sidemen rice fields and Mount Agung, it was a sight to behold. The infinity pool was amazing too- clearly an Instagram hotspot as we witnessed a fair few photoshoots. The staff were all lovely too. It was my partners birthday and they helped me arrange a floating breakfast in the infinity pool as well as a gorgeous romantic dinner where they surrounded us in candles and flower petals! It was one of the most beautiful experiences and I’m so grateful to the 2 staff who made it happen. I did want to mention them but I’ve lost the bit of paper with their names on! Would definitely recommend this wonderful place to anyone.

Uluwatu
Stayed here with my boyfriend and my two friends. The room was very clean and spacious. The owner was such a nice man and was always willing to help/make our stay as comfortable as possible. Very good location also as one of the nicest beaches is less than a 5 min drive away. Would definitely recommend this place!

Logement sympa autour d’une belle piscine. Le personnel est au petit soin. Très bon rapport qualité / prix!
Honeymoon Guesthouse

Ubud
The hotel is in two parts across the same road, and during our 3-nights (beginning of February) we stayed in both. For the first two nights we stayed in Yoga Honeymoon 2 about 50 metres from reception where they also host yoga and cooking classes. The whole environment is beautiful with statues and lush vegetation everywhere, the room & bathroom were spacious and there was a bath and shower that worked effectively. Everything was clean enough, we were not particularly bothered by mosquitos and the net around the bed worked well. A/C also worked well. There was a cockerel over the fence who started crowing early which didn't bother us but might bother some people. There was a nice seating area outside the room with facility for drying clothes. For our third night we transferred to the main building on the second floor, the same spacious rooms but no bath and the shower did not work as well we presume due to low pressure, however more peaceful (couldn't hear the cockerel or traffic) and a lovely balcony overlooking a small temple. The staff were all gracious, charming, and professional, the food in the restaurant was excellent. Many choices for breakfast, our favourite was the Indonesian-style Veggie Brekkie, for lunch we liked the tofu & spinach curry and eggplant fettucine, great brownie with ice cream too! Location is convenient for the centre of Ubud (maybe 10-15 minutes walk) and the monkey forest (walkable but we hired Grab bikes). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend, great value for money.
Tauch Terminal Resort Tulamben & Spa

Tulamben
Tauch Terminal Resort This hotel is recommended by divers and is just opposite our dive shop. From the hotel room, walk 3 minutes to the dive shop. The hotel environment is very good, we booked a sea view room, the view is beautiful. It's a pity that we go out to dive early in the morning every day and don't have much time to enjoy the beautiful scenery. When I arrived at the hotel that night, there was a welcome billboard with my name written on it. Unfortunately, I wrote my title wrong. The welcome drink is pretty good.
The Peace Arta Bungalow

Nusa Penida
We loved our stay here at Peace Arta Bungalow! We took a chance since there were no trip reviews but we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the accommodation is! It might be a little hard to find as there is just a wooden sign off the main street, and the bungalows themselves are tucked behind a small neighborhood. There are only 4 bungalows so it's not a very big place but the owners are family-owned and they have been very kind. There is even daily housekeeping which we didn't know! The bathroom is newly renovated and very clean. As a bungalow however, it is not 100% weatherproof in the bathroom. The bedroom is fairly weatherproof. The A/C works very well but the wifi can be spotty. It had trouble our first day but after resetting the router it worked pretty well! I love having a little patio and even a clothing drying rack! There is a mini fridge as well to keep your drinks cool. They gave us water when we first arrived but otherwise we did not get more water. The only critique I have (nothing they can really control) is that the roosters tend to start crowing pretty early. But on the bright side, it helps you get an early start on the day! The bed is very comfortable. There are some spiderwebs in the corners and such but overall the bungalows are new and well maintained.

Beautiful houses, lots of livelihoods, lots of animal sounds, a number of rice terraces. For a few days, took 2 villas, one big with the kitchen, convenient. Very delicious pancakes for breakfast. But in 2 local villa a very bad mattress, failed all.
Echoland Boutique Bed and Breakfast

Canggu
Echoland is one of the good places we’ve stayed in here in Bali. We love how the staff are very welcoming. Beach is few minutes walk and ao are the famous Old Mans and newly opened Motel Mexicola in Canggu, but far enough from the noise of the party. When you get out of the streets, few restaurants are nearby and also convenience stores. We love everything about this hotel.
Sama's Cottages and Villas

Ubud
Sama’s is situated through a gateway leading off Jalan Bisma, a lovely lane in Ubud Walk down a little pathway to reception passing the pool and what was our villa, to be greeted warmly by the receptionist who checked us in and showed us our villa, a large open plan kitchen sitting room and comfortable bedroom. Outside was a lovely terrace with dining table and a large lounging sofa. The kitchen was equipped with a water dispenser providing chilled and boiling water, toaster, a microwave, glasses crockery etc Breakfast was ordered in advance from a nice selection of items and delivered freshly made each morning at a time of our choosing. Being fairly close to Jalan Bisma there was a little background noise in the evening from the bars and restaurants but it wasn’t intrusive in the slightest and all went quiet around 10:30 An amazing location not far from the hubbub of downtown ubud Can’t complain of anything during our stay and would stay again.
